Maury Galbraith is the Executive Director of the Colorado Electric Transmission Authority. Mr. Galbraith manages the administrative functions of CETA including the development of near-term and long-term strategic plans, the development of annual budgets, and the hiring and supervision of professional staff. He works with the CETA Board of Directors to establish, plan, promote, and develop electric transmission and storage infrastructure in Colorado. He facilitates multi-state, multi-utility, and multi-stakeholder partnership agreements to develop new electric transmission lines and storage facilities needed to enable Colorado to achieve its clean energy goals. Mr. Galbraith represents the interests of CETA in state, regional, and federal transmission planning processes.
Mr. Galbraith was previously Executive Director at the Western Interstate Energy Board, Administrator of the Electric and Natural Gas Division at the Oregon Public Utility Commission, and Resource Analyst at the Northwest Power and Conservation Council. He holds a Master of Arts degree in economics from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in economics from the University of Oregon. He lives in Colorado with family and friends.
